Robertson's Medicated Skin Repairing Ointment
How it Works
Cod Liver Oil contains two Omega 3 Fatty Acids; E.P.A. (Eicosapentaenoic) and D.H.A. (Docosahexaenoic), which are modulators of the inflammatory response, helping to reduce inflammation. Cod Liver Oil also contains Vitamins A and D which help to heal and maintain healthy skin.

Iodine is a mineral which has antiseptic properties and helps to clear infections.

Itching is caused by extremely dry skin. Robertson's Medicated Skin Repairing Ointment is a very thick ointment and it's deep moisturising action helps to stop the itch.
Apply once a day on Babies from 3 months of age.

Apply 3 times daily on Adults.

Because Robertson's is a very thick ointment, only a small amount of ointment is needed per application.

There may be reddening of the affected area, but after several applications, the redness will subside.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How long before I can see results?
A: Eczema symptoms are caused by a variety of triggers. With regular application of Robertson’s, results can be seen within one to two weeks. For more severe eczema, results may take up to four or five weeks.

Q: Is Robertson’s safe to use around the eyes?
A: Yes. Robertson’s is safe to use around the eyes, on the face and on the body. Because Robertson's is a very thick ointment, it will not run into the eye when heated up by the skin's temperature, unlike other water based creams and lotions. Apply a very small amount of ointment around the eye area by gently dabbing it on with your fingertips. Dab off any excess ointment by pressing the area gently with a tissue.

Q: I need to apply Robertson’s to a large area of the body. What is the best way to do that?
A: Because Robertson’s ointment is extremely thick and moisturizing, only a very small amount of ointment is needed per application. When applying Robertson’s to large areas of the body, spray a fine mist of water onto the skin, then apply Robertson’s. This will help the ointment spread easier. Alternatively, apply Robertson’s straight after a bath or shower while the skin is still moist.

Q: Can I use other moisturizers, lotions or creams whilst still using Robertson’s?
A: We do not recommend applying other moisturizers on the affected skin whilst using Robertson’s. This may inhibit Robertson’s performance.

Q: Robertson’s may be more expensive than other eczema creams. Why is that?
A: Because Robertson's is an ointment it is thicker and more moisturising than other eczema creams. Only a very small amount is needed per application which means Robertson's will last approximately two to three times longer than others. Robertson's is produced to the highest quality standards.

Q: What is the difference between lotions, creams and ointments?
A: Lotions and Creams contain a mixture of water and oils and need to be reapplied often. They do not penetrate very dry skin. Ointments do not contain water and therefore are thick and deeply moisturizing for extremely dry skin such as eczema. They also act as a barrier to help protect the skin from drying out.

Q: Is Robertson’s effective with skin conditions such as psoriasis?
A: Yes. Robertson’s has been successful in treating psoriasis.

Q: Do you have samples I can try?
A: No. Because Robertson’s needs to be applied consistently for one to two weeks to see results, trying a sample will not give you a good indication of Robertson’s effectiveness.
